The post about “Pat” has been removed at the request some “close” to the situation. In regards to the overwhelming number of comments filled with vitriol, simply stating that he had passed would have been a better tact rather than the attempt at illustrating absurdity with absurdity. My apologies for posting are deeply expressed.
This morning I received another email asking my what my URL was for my MySpace account. Short answer, I have a MySpace account. I just choose not to use it. Billjackson.org existed before the MySpace tsunami hit the Internet and other sites, like windows live spaces decided to try and get in on some of the action. Besides, billjackson.org is so much easier to remember than http://www.myspace.com/your_name_here_so_others_can_interact_with_you/. “Well, you could always direct billjackson.org to your myspace account.” Yes I could, I have that knowledge, ability, and technical prowess. I just refuse to.
There is beauty in simplicity. Clean looks, no advertising, easy to remember URL, twenty thousand hits a month? I can post any audio or video I want without it being blocked. In a nut shell, I have always tried to do things differently than others. I have always tried to do things better then others. Sometimes I succeed; sometimes I fail. You can never say that I am boring you lack creativity. You can never say that I fit the mold. You can never say that I am just like everybody else.Â
Visit if you want, but ther is nothing there but a picture of me with Donnie Van Zant of .38 Special and Van Zant.
billjackson.org transformed into a Web 2.0 interactive site today. The new look and interactive features give billjackson.org a refined online experience.
Bill Jackson elaborates:
The small team of people that have helped build billjackon.org over the years continue to do stupendous job in giving surfers the best online experience possible. Their volunteer effort show the loyalty to me as a friend and to the care of the thousands of people that view billjackson.org as a form of information and entertainment.
We decided to go away from the flash based site to allow for commenting and the creation of a online community within this site. Our hope is that people register and be a part of the site.
We are looking forward to brining the Red Sneaker Diaries to HD video form within the next few months, as well as some new features to enhance the viewing experience.
I speak on behalf of all those involved in creation and maintenance of billjackson.org when I say thank you for you continued support of this labor of love.
All notes, updates, and site news will be integrated into the new site’s database. Expect past entries to be aded over the next few weeks.
