Shoe String Threads: Pat Green

What can you say about Pat Green that hasn’t been said already. This guy is as talented as the year is long and just as nice. I had a great conversation with him backstage at Floore’s Country Store. He really allow me to engage hi in some tough questions about his career, touring with Kenny Chesney and Sugarland, and life on the road. On of the real tasty morsels was asking him about the Sugarland performance here in San Antonio. If you perused the Sugarland edition of the Show String Threads, you’d have noted the strange requirements for taking pictures with the group. I asked Pat why he thought Jennifer and Kristian have such policies regarding “backstage” or “meet and greet” appearances. HE responded so honestly that it was refreshing and breathtaking all at the same time.

Pat essentially said, we all get the big head right as things start to blow up for us in the entertainment industry. We eventually come around to be normal again, we most of us… well, some of us.

Pat was very forthcoming about his own battle with stardom. I can attest that he did win that battle. What a great guy!
