The SEC Championship game is tomorrow evening. Florida faces Arkansas and it is the most important game of the year for both teams. Who has the bigger stake? I think Florida.
Florida is not only playing for a national championship game berth, but also to bring some of that championship spirit that has been missing since 2000 and Spurrier. But wait, you say. The winner of the SEC Championship game goes to the Sugar Bowl. Correct, unless they are playing for a national championship. If Florida does they head to AZ to face Ohio State.
So who plays in the Sugar Bowl then? I think it is LSU. I have mentioned this to several folks, and none of them agree. They are all thinking Rose or Orange.
Don’t get your hopes up for the Rose. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The Rose Bowl is a bunch of snobs. They want the Pac 10 playing the Big 10. That is their mission in life.
We’ll see how I do.
Prognostication: Florida 35 – ARK 21 Florida plays for the national title against Ohio State. LSU goes to Sugar or Orange Bowls.

LSU in the Sugar? No way. They’ll never get invited. Too Close. No one will go down there and stay and spend money. Plus they were just there in 2003. LSU will in up in the Cap One bowl or something like that.

What are you talking about? That would require USC losing. Cal stood a chance of beating them and couldn’t pull it off. You think UCAL as going to do it? What are you smoking?
