Post Removed

The post about “Pat” has been removed at the request some “close” to the situation. In regards to the overwhelming number of comments filled with vitriol, simply stating that he had passed would have been a better tact rather than the attempt at illustrating absurdity with absurdity. My apologies for posting are deeply expressed.

    You hurt alot of people with your comment…myself included.

    It was bad enough that we had just lost someone we love.

    Thank You for removing the posting.

    Thank you so much for deleting that post….it was a very hard time for a lot of people, and I think that’s why things got so out-of-hand.
    There’s still no excuse for the post that was written. There were other ways of explaining your opinions without being so careless.

    @Mary:

    You are welcome as well. Let me add this. While there was “no excuse,” none was ever offered, nor will there be.

    In the interest of full discloser, my comments were, in fact not careless, but rather each word crafted to illustrate the absurd nature of attempting suicide with an absurd comment mocking the attempting individual. I meant every word I wrote.

    One my parental units attempted suicide about 15 years ago. This individual would have left two of its own children asking a myriad of questions and even guilt at the formative ages of 9 and 11. I was older and understood what was happening. This moment is where I realized the selfish nature of suicide and gained the loathing for individual that either attempt it or are successful at it. I loath that parental unit to this day and make fun of them to their face about it at any chance I see them, even offering suggestion on how to be successful at it the next time.

    This is one of my many flaws. At the end of my life I will be judged by all of my thoughts and deeds, both good and bad.

    As I said in the post, I should not have posted the comments in the initial submission.. I do not, nor will I ever, apologize for the sentiment.
