Bill Kristol leaked a rumor General Colin Powell would endorse Barack Obama for president. Subscribers to this seem to think he will make an endorsement at the DNC. if this happens, what a quandary for those on the left.
Why you ask? Well, easy really. While most of you that are typically ill informed and have followed the Obama candidacy with the fervor of a high school junior on prom night, just remember, Barack based the entire beginning of his campaign opposing the war. The war that Bush lied about. The war that there were no WMDs. He gets to pander to the anti-war left and say that he was against the war because he could never vote on it. He wasn’t in the senate yet. His strong anti-war stance won favor with so many.
All of this… and I can tell you that those that follow Obama blindly will relish in the fact that such a “good and honorable” Republican will endorse Obama. Yet, it was Powell that delivered the speech on WMD to the UN to make that case against Saddam Hussein.
Will he eventually endorse Obama? Yes. No doubt. Not at the DNC… but much closer. And when he does, I shall grin so to see the left bask in the glory of his endorsement, knowing those that failed to remember the history.
How ironic… Against one Hussein and for another…
